When visions of sugarplums are dancing in your head….but you’re not a fan of the less-than-healthful ingredients in Great Aunt Elenore’s sugarplums…
Opt for Colostrum Peppermint Patties!
Colostrum Peppermint Patties are the perfect sweet treat for the holiday season! They're packed with ingredients that will give you a healthy, sustained energy boost, rather than the quick high and crash of refined sugar desserts.
The Colostrum-Peppermint filling will delight both your taste buds and your immune system...and we can all use a little help during the (sometimes stressful) holidays to keep our immune system balanced. They'll be a hit at holiday parties, and we bet they'll become a seasonal tradition cherished into the future!
For the Filling:
1/4 cup Coconut Oil, soft but not melted
1 tbsp Raw Honey
1/8 cup Surthrival Colostrum powder
4 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
For the Chocolate:
1.75 cups melted Cacao Butter
1/2 cup Mesquite Meal
3 cups Cacao Powder
2 tsp Vanilla Powder
Pinch of Sea Salt
1/2 tsp Green Leaf Stevia
1/4 cup Maple Syrup
Preparation:
First whip together the filling ingredients until well combined. Set aside.
Make the chocolate by blending together all the ingredients in a blender.
Using a 1-ounce mold, add 2 tsp of chocolate then place in the freezer to set. Next, form a small patty of the filling, and add to the mold and press down to nearly fill the diameter of the mold. Freeze to set. Cover the coconut filling with the remaining chocolate, then freeze to set.
Makes approximately 20 Peppermint Patties.
